Nick Sharp

With over two decades in the boating industry, Nick Sharp knows all things water. Beginning and perfecting his craft in the Surfboard industry, moving into the boat world was a natural progression for Sharp and his obsession with the sea.

Diving into the deep end (and minding the pun), Sharp set his sights on gaining as much experience as possible in all areas of boat manufacture. From working in slip yards repairing large boats, to producing one off designs, moulded production boats and pattern and plug building (in which he eventually specialised). Sharps determination led him to undergo a formal trade as a Shipwright with renowned Ship builder and lecturer Ray Cauchi in order to further refine his skills. Sharp has designed and built boats for some of South Australia’s leading boat manufacturers with many of his designs standing the test of time and still being in production today - a testament to his skill, determination and eye for detail.

The Sharpcraft brand embodies Sharp’s love of the water as well as the world-class craftsmanship that his reputation is built upon. Sharp strives to develop cutting edge and exciting models utilising the latest manufacturing procedures and techniques to provide safe and high-quality boats for fisherman to families.
